ICAESD2011 International Conference on Alternative Energy in Developing Countries and Emerging Economies

Climate change, along with the depletion of natural resources, are serious issues that have the potential to impact the economic and social development in all countries. In the energy sector, it is vital to reduce our dependence of fossil fuel-based energy and to focus on renewable energy sources in combination with more efficient use of energy; and this must be addressed in all future energy-related strategic decisions. To achieve a low carbon society, several measures such as technology innovation in renewable energy, switching from fossil fuel to non-carbon fuel, carbon emission control, and increase of energy efficiency should be taken through systematic processes.
In this context, the 2011 International Conference on Alternative Energy for Sustainable Development (ICAESD2011) was proposed by the Research and Development Institute of Thaksin University in Thailand, and is co-organized by Thaksin University, Thailand (the Solar and Wind Energy Research Unit and the Renewable Energy System Research and Demonstration Center), Prince of Songkla University, Thailand (the Energy Technology Research Center) and the Universit? de Moncton, Canada (K.C. Irving Chair in Sustainable Development). This conference will give a chance to present and discuss the state of the art of advanced technology, research and development related to alternative energy and related topics from academic expert, research sector, and industry.
This Call for Papers invites experts and researchers in academic and industrial areas throughout the world to this inaugural meeting. It is believed that this timely event will become a milestone for international networking and collaboration mechanisms to achieve sustainable growth.
